We often focus too closely on what other breeders do when breeding budgerigars, but there is so much else to consider, learn and reflect on from other animal breeding populations. This session reviews breeding methods and genetic management methods used in animals. We cover all situations ranging from commercial livestock production right through to the genetic management if endangered populations. Want to inbreed or do you want to avoid it?
